theatreMAMA is looking for fearless street team ambassadors to promote CHICAGO the Musical on Broadway. Street Team Ambassadors will embody the theatrical style of CHICAGO while distributing fliers in the Times Square area and beyond in costume by infusing their movements with Fosse technique.  Female dancers & actors are encouraged to apply. 

Since 2006, theatreMAMA has worked with CHICAGO the Musical on Broadway to create an iconic street team recognizable around the world, and provide a killer discount to the show. The iconic street team consists of highly trained dancers, singers and performers who utilize their talents to transform Times Square into Broadway’s biggest stage.

Performer Qualifications & Responsibilities

Ideal CHICAGO ambassadors must have:

• Strong movement/dance skills (Fosse is a plus)

• Strong improvisational skills

• An ability to create defined characters/personas within the realm of CHICAGO The Musical

• A lively, outgoing, energetic and enthusiastic personality

• Be knowledgeable, theatrical and have a positive attitude

• Be comfortable approaching strangers

• Be able to use your theatrical talents to translate into the promotional style on the streets while interacting with the public in character

• A love of the theatre and people

Production Dates & Locations

• FALL/WINTER 2023

• Greeters will be active 2 hours prior to showtime until 30 minutes after the performance begins.

• Weekly schedule is flexible and will be based on applicant’s availability

• Location: Times Square

Compensation

All NY street team ambassadors are paid an hourly rate starting at $20 - $24 per hour.
