The Christmas Spectacular starring the Radio City Rockettes comes to Radio City Music Hall yearly for a 9 week run and seats millions of patrons from all around the world. With over 6,000 patrons entering and leaving the Music Hall per performance...sometimes up to 6 times per day, theatreMAMA launches the Radio City Christmas Candy Cane Greeter Front of House Ambassador Program to elevate the theatre going experience and spread some Christmas joy the MAMA way.
The Radio City Christmas Spectacular opened on November 13th to the delights of tourists and locals alike! At theatreMAMA, we had our own opening weekend with the launch of our fabulous Candy Cane Greeters! What’s a Candy Cane Greeter, you ask? A Candy Cane Greeter is an experiential front of house strategy to help with anything you need before and after attending the Christmas Spectacular. They warmly welcome guests to the famed hall, ease overcrowding by directing patrons to the correct entrance, inform ticket holders of “Santa’s Do’s and Don'ts” when going through security, and can answer any and all questions about the show! Hate waiting in mundane lines? The Candy Cane Greeters are there for that too! Our Greeters transform the regular line into a wonderland way by taking pictures of (and with) guests attending the show and leading the line in singing holiday favorites like Jingle Bells and Frosty the Snowman. What a wonderful way to get into the holiday spirit!
But our Candy Cane Greeters aren’t just around for logistical purposes, they also serve as beacons of merriment and joy! Each Candy Cane Greeter carries a festive, candy striped, glowing, north pole. These props light up every corner of Radio City with their red and green colored luminaries, decking the streets as if they were ornaments adorning a glorious evergreen Christmas tree! The luminescent north poles are festive beacons guiding guests through every part of their Christmas Spectacular experience. Our Candy Cane street team is easy to find, and happy to help with whatever you may need.
